But shopping for cosmetics is another matter entirely. While the Hill’s women may be willing to walk for the perfect blow-out, they absolutely insist on having the world’s finest products right at their fingertips. Lucky for them, the quaint Beauty Mark (33 Charles Street, Boston, 617.720.1555) combs the globe for the best brands. Don’t expect the big names; the knowledgeable owner here prefers indie lines. Our favorites include Chanteille and Japonesque. Manicures can also be had on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and keep a close eye on the Charles Street darling this summer — spa services including facials and massages are soon to come.
